Tea Time Tuesday

A cup of tea, a prayer or two, special moments shared with you.

Welcome to Tea Time Tuesday!  Since I'm sick and tired of winter, I decided to share this miniature cup with you.

This little cup is shaped like a daffodil.  It's a bright golden yellow and has small flowers painted on the "petals" of the saucer.  It has no markings, so I don't know the maker.

This cup came from my mom.  Not sure where she found it, but most likely it was from an estate or yard sale.

Thanks for visiting!  I'm linking up with Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage.

Did you miss me? (say yes)

Sorry I haven't posted for a while.  I had migraines last week that didn't want to go away!

Tea Time Tuesday

A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.
~The Wizard of Oz~

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm sharing this cup and saucer today.  It's made by Paragon.  The saucer and inside of the cup have a pale pink band, with a rose medallion in the center.  This was a thrift store purchase many years ago, along with another set of the same pattern with light green instead of pink.  (I still have the green cup, unfortunately the saucer met an early end.)

Our hostess, Sandi, asked us to share our favorite love song.

Easy choice for me...  "The Way I Feel Tonight" by the Bay City Rollers!  It's been my favorite since I was a teenager. When I saw Les McKeown perform in September, it was one of the songs he did...sigh...

Thanks for visiting, and visit the other tea parties at Sandi's blog!

Sending prayers

We got news today that our niece's husband, who is a captain in the US Army, was seriously injured in a parachuting training accident.  The limited info that we have so far is that he had back injuries and was in surgery.  My niece was here in Washington on a visit, and has just gotten back to North Carolina.

We love you, Margeaux and Niall!  Love and prayers are being sent!

Tea Time Tuesday

Though I cannot flee from the world...I can prepare tea with water from a mountain stream and put my heart to rest.   ~ Ueda Akinari

It's another Tea Time Tuesday!

Today I am sharing this pretty tea pot.  It has small pink roses on a white background.

The verse on it is Psalm 90:17.  "Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us."

This teapot was a birthday present from my husband a few years ago.  (Well, technically, he gave me a gift card to the Christian book store and I picked it out.)

Thanks for stopping by, and check out the other tea parties at Rose Chintz Cottage!

It's cold in here!!!

I know, I know.  I shouldn't complain.

I'm not buried under feet of snow.

But I'm still cold!  Our furnace quit on us.  I'm off to huddle under a blanket until the furnace guy comes tomorrow.
