Thanks Make-A-Wish...We're going to Disney World!!

Yes, it's true!!!  Make-a-Wish just confirmed our trip in September!

I have to admit, I had some misconceptions about the Make-A-Wish foundation.  I thought they only granted wishes for terminally ill children.  They grant wishes for life threatening illnesses. Youngest daughter falls into that category. Even though she needs a liver transplant in the future, her condition is not considered terminal.  We did just make the age cut-off, as the wish process was started before she turned 18.

I also assumed that we wouldn't qualify for a wish because of our income.  While we certainly are not rich by any stretch of the imagination, we are firmly in the middle class.  Make-A-Wish doesn't consider family income in granting a wish.  We are blessed that we have excellent insurance coverage, but even so, when it comes to a transplant, there will be fees that won't be covered.

Hey Mickey...we'll see you in September!

*This is not an ad or fundraising plea.  Just my personal opinion of an awesome organization!*
